Weight: 186.5

Route:
Run Like the Dickens
Notes:
I have to admit, that I did this race a bit out of guilt. I missed my scheduled run for yesterday. I was originally planning on running this race, however once I had my program worked out, I had decided that It was not practical. But never the less I found myself standing in the freezing air outside of a the Holly High School.
This was my first 8k, I have done 5ks and 10ks, but never 8. So I was not sure how well I would do. I went to the
runners world training calculator
. Using my 10k time from the Iron Turkey, it predicted that I would be able to do 8k in 37:17, I ended up finishing a bit slower then that at
37:33
. I was hoping to under 37:00 but I cant complain. I don't want to make excuses but the cold seams to make these things allot harder. Under freezing I always seam to more breathing strain. And my legs seam to get sour much sooner.
Once again I had no knee pain at all. This is a good sign. Hopefully by the Marathon I will not need my brace at all.
Not sure if I am going to do my EZ run tomorrow. I am supposed to be in a recovery week, and I have worked it quite a bit harder then I should have. But the weather is looking to be nice, so I will wait and see how I feel then.
