LA Marathon training program: Week
5
Tuesday December 12th
, 2006
EZ Run 5mi @ 8:46
(Planned: 5mi @ 9:09)
Weight: 187
Time: 6:30am
Temp: 43f
Weather: Sprinkles
Route: 5x Laps around the sub.
Notes:
This was my first EZ run with my new EZ pace, I seam to have over compensated quite a bit. I will endeavor to be a bit more careful in the future, the last thing I need is to get my Knee messed up again. I have ran way to fast for the last 3 runs.
No pain with my knee, however on the last mile I began to realize I was running to fast when I felt that It wanted to hurt, It never did but I could tell if I pushed it at all It would start to protest.

Ah! Be careful. And injury will set you back a lot and it could threaten your ability to run period.
I'm having the same problem with pace. I wonder if ignoring the iPod is a better idea. Music has a powerful influence over my speed.
I hope you're stretching after every run. With the weather the way it is in your part of the country, you want to make sure you don't push your muscles too far.
Good luck!

I have not paid any attention to the pace given by my ipod, since the temputures hit freezeing, it is pritty much completely un reliable for me now. However I still us it to track my time and record, but I am never sure of my pace untill the run is over and I can figure it out the old fasion way.
