LA Marathon training program: Week 5

First Tempo run at 7:42. Was a bit harder then I liked, but I still had the strength to bust it up to 7:00 for the last quarter of a mile. So it could not have been to hard.

  No knee problems, though I did have some pain in my shoulder about 1.5 miles in, but it cleared up and I had forgotten it by the half way point.

Next week is when the real fun begins, with the normal speedwork, and the Yasso 800's.

Dang. That's pretty fast, especially near the end! I hate tempo runs with a passion. I'm almost never able to maintain the correct pace for as long as I'm supposed to. Hopefully after a couple of more weeks of pushing myself, that will change. But you've got yours down it looks like. Congrats!
