LA Marathon training program: Week
8
Sunday January 4th, 2007
Yasso 800s: 6.5mi - 6x800m @ 3:29
(Planned: 6.5mi - 6x800m @ 3:30)
Weight: 189
Time: 7:35pm
Temp: 39f
Weather: Clear
Route: Treadmill
Notes:
Third set of Yasso 800's, done. 4 more to go. Today was harder then last week, and next week will be even harder. I have to admit that at the end of each 800m interval I am just about sure that there is no way to I will be able to do another set. But after the 400m recovery I some how manage to be able to do another. At least this has been the case so far, but I have only had to do 6 repeats, at some point I wont be able to do it, All I can do is hope that its not 10. Since that is all I have to do.
I have to admit that I'm a bit sour after today's run, but I no more then normal. Still I have not had any knee pain, or notable muscle pain, so I am feeling pretty happy with things over all.

Sounds tough. I know I should probably be doing these too but I don't have the heart right now. My tempo run today was brutal and I'm not even sure I ran the pace I was supposed to. I don't know if I could handle the Yasso800s on top of the stupid tempo runs. You are a monster.

Also, I'm very curious about your Garmin. I'm not ready to graduate to that level of tool yet, but I want to see how well you like it the more you use it.
