LA Marathon training program: Week 9

I have come to realize that any EZ run over about 5 miles, is just to long. I get board. Even though today I had to increase my pace to 8:55, I still kind of dreaded getting up to run. The problem is when I run and am board I do silly things. Today I simply ran to fast. Most of the time I was just around 8:40 or 8:30. But around mile 4 I was overcome by the urge to do some fast intervals. At one point I looked down at my Gamin and was moving along a 5:14. I didn't do more then 400 meters at a time, but It was kind of fun.
  I do hope that I did not over run, but It made things go allot smother. Tomorrow comes the Yasso 800's. 7x800m @ 3:30. I'm pretty sure I should be able to do it, but it is a bit scary to think of.
  PS. Last week I said I was over Half way through my 16 weeks, I was wrong, as anyone who can do math would have realized. But As of today I am over the half way point for real.
