LA Marathon training program: Week 10
Thursday
January 18th, 2007
EZ Run: 4mi @ 7:59
(Planned: 4mi @ 8:55)
Weight: 188.5
Time: 8:30am
Temp: 20f
Weather: Light Snow
Route: Pinckney road loop.
Notes:
Once aging I probably should not have over run, but I wanted to see how hard it would be to stay at a 8:00 pace for a distance. Unfortunately the dirt road that I was running on was covered with more Ice then I liked. I felt that my feet were slipping for almost the entire time. The good news is that It was not to difficult to stay on pace. A bit harder then I would hope, I still cant imagine holding 8:00 for 26 miles. I think I am going to change my 12mile run at the end of week 14 to 12 miles at 8:00. Hopefully this will not be to close to the marathon to risk fatiguing my self, but I will be much more confident that my goals are realistic after I have logged a bit more distance at my planed pace.
Tomorrow are 1600m intervals, at 7:03, which is scary. But I am pretty sure I can do it. Only 2 more weeks of 5 days a week. I cant began to express how happy that makes me.
