LA Marathon training program: Week 14

Speedwork: 8mi - 4 x 1mi @ 6:53  (8mi - 4 x 1mi @ 6:55)

This was my last serious set of speedwork before the Race. I considered replacing it with a repeat of my last set of Yasso 800's. But I decided that it should stick to schedule. I was also a bit concerned that this speedwork would be to hard. But as it turned out It was not that bad. Not to say it was not hard, It was, harder then I think it should have been for me at this point in my program.
  Once more my treadmill was not able to do 6:55, so I went ahead and ran the bulk of my intervals at 6:53. I ran the last 200m at 6:00 just to see if I could. I did my jogs at 13:00 and my warm up and cool down at 12:00.
  Over all things went smooth. Tomorrows run should be a cakewalk, Sunday will be my last hard run before the race. I am planning on doing it at "Race Pace" 8:00. If I can manage 12 miles at that speed, then my goal time might not be as insane as I think it is. Check back next week to find out.
